Daytona Beach Visitor Information
With its glorious, hot beaches stretching for miles this town is not just a sunbathers haven, Daytona Beach is home to speed drives and contests. Originally famous for holding the land speed record- breaking efforts of Malcolm Campbell, Daytona continues to attract fans of motor-sports. One of the three major local biking events is that of the Biketoberfest in addition to regular speedway. This is an area with an ingrained love and respect for speed, petrol and adrenalin.
Other places to see (in between race meetings) are that of the Klassix Auto Museum and the Main Street Pier for (beach side things to do).
Accommodation is mostly moderately priced along the beach, so head for the heart of things when looking for somewhere to stay.
